Roli Mosimann was a drummer, electronic musician, and producer renowned for his groundbreaking contributions to music. He was a part of the New York no-wave scene as a musician in Swans and Wiseblood.

Roli embraced a “no formula” philosophy, allowing music to evolve naturally and fostering a deep emotional connection with listeners.

This unique approach led him to collaborate with acclaimed artists and bands, including The Young Gods, The The, Celtic Frost, Jarboe, New Order, Faith No More, Fear Factory, Skinny Puppy, Rebecca Bakken, The Weyers, Fredy Studer and Miloopa, among others. He was also an integral part of Jojo Mayer’s live performances and the band Nerve, co-creating their innovative sound.

Honored with awards such as the Man With a Golden Ear for “Visionary and Pioneering Solutions in Music Production” and the Swiss Grand Award for Music – the prestigious recognition granted by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture.

He passed away suddenly, leaving a void in the hearts of his loved ones and an immense musical legacy. In addition to the countless albums he produced, he left behind instruments that played a crucial role in shaping his distinctive sound.
